Change is inevitable for development. It is ensured that the girls staying in the institution undergo overall development as per the societal demands so that they are fit to merge in the mainstream of the society after their rehabilitation. For this purpose, all the religious festivals are celebrated in the campus, like Diwali, Holi, Navratri, Rakshabandhan, Gaurivrat, Uttarayan etc. Even the national festivals are celebrated with the same zeal.
Looking to the need for their intellectual growth, the girls are taken for tour to various tourists, religious and historical places. They are even made to attend lectures organized by government, educational or social welfare organizations. They are even encouraged to participate in various competitions. To ensure the physical and mental health of the girls various camps like Yog, Acupressure, Medical, Eye-Checkup, Thalassemia Screening, Rubella Vaccination are organized for them.
The girls are made to participate in awareness programmes like women empowerment, save the girl child, civil defence, voters’ awareness, cleanliness campaign etc. to make them aware towards the evils prevalent in the society. To introduce the girls to the social traditions, they are taken to marriage ceremonies, birthday parties, religious rites and to the lunch and dinner parties in hotels wherever they are invited. These girls are even shown films with social, economic or educational messages.
An organization named “Make A Difference” (MAD), which has been working for the kids in orphanages and shelter homes, has been offering its services to us. They train the girls to be educationally stronger and get better results, lead a healthy life, fight against any sort of exploitation and work hard to identify their talents and transform their lives to become better human beings.
